Last day in Kerikeri

We've had a brilliant time up here. With weather like this we wish we were near a beach! It's been very hot the last few days. Yesterday we walked a 6km forest trail running along side the river leading us to Rainbow Falls. It really was a spectactular sight! Couldn't believe the height of the waterfall and the sound was immense. Baz had to have to have a dip although I wouldn't go as far to say he actually swam! Almost. It was brilliant- well worth the hike to get there,and glad to report no blisters or sunburn. Only pain endured was inflicted by Baz's singing! After that action packed day, we've just had a quiet day today. Done a clothes wash and sat in the sunshine playing numerous games of Uno with other residents. Tomorrow we head back to Paihia and will stay at the Mousetrap as we enjoyed it so much last time. (Hopefully this time we wont be sharing a dorm with a 60yr old man who forgets to take his fogetful pills!! Worrying!)
